DERRY, July 30, 2008  –  The official brochure for Foyle Gay Pride was launched this morning by human rights activist Peter Tatchell and politician Martina Anderson, the Sinn Fein member of the Northern Irish Assembly (Parliament) for Foyle.

The launch took place at the Rainbow Project Foyle Centre in Queen Street, Derry.

Foyle Pride takes place between August 18 and 25 and will have a range of different events including verbal arts, an exhibition of digital photography done by young gay men, live band night at Sandino's, workshops on issues like transphobia and HIV stigma and finishing with a Pride Ball at the City Hotel.

Gay Pride 08 brochures are now available from The Rainbow Project, 12a Queen Street and can also be picked up at Sandino’s and the City Hotel.
