WARSAW, July 15, 2010 - Downtown Warsaw came to a complete standsrill this
afternoon as the European Gay Pride parade wound its way through the streets
for more than two hours.
The only thing missing was shade as the sun beat down sending the merury
soaring to over 30 degrees (in the farenheit ninties).
Visitors flocked to the city from across Europe, and beyond. From
Canada, Vancouver Pride send a contingent, while the USA had
representatives from San Diego and New York.
There is no official figure yet for attandence. But more than
10,000 were expected, organisers said.
It was in June 2006 that the Warsaw gay comminity managed to stage its
first officially sanctioned Pride parade. And four years later
comes EuroPride ...
