Dec 31:  UK:
Teens from Sussex School Go Public with Their GRIN Photo Campaign to Combat Bulling of Gays in Schools.  A small group of sixth formers at a Sussex school have set-up a campaign to highlight the problems that gay teenagers often face.  And now, the group has arranged a fund-raiser in Brighton next week to help them pay for their campaign, which includes a Website.

Dec 25:  Russia/France/USA:
Sarkozy Lobbied Putin Over Moscow Gay Pride in 2007, Leaked US Document Reveals.   In 2007, French President Nicolas Sarkozy lobbied the then Russian President Vladimir Putin on the “violent repression of a recent gay rights parade in Moscow”, it has emerged through a leaked memo from the US Embassy in Paris to the State Department in Washington.

Dec 25:  Russia:
Head of the Russian Constitutional Court Has Declared War on the Russian Gay Community.  Commentary by Nikolai Baev.   Judge Zorkin, in his justification of discrimination against sexual minorities, can be compared only with the notorious homophobes, such as Luzhkov.  The legacy of disgraced Luzhkov lives on.  The banner of Russian political homophobe Number One raised the head of the Russian Constitutional Court, Valery Zorkin.

Dec 17:  Uganda:
European Parliament Repeats Firm Opposition to Uganda’s ‘Kill Gays’ Bill.  The European Parliament yesterday adopted an urgent resolution condemning the “Anti Homosexuality Bill” which has been under consideration in the Ugandan Parliament since September 2009.

Dec 14:  Russia:
Moscow Bans Gay Rally at Lubyanka Square.  The Moscow Government has denied a group of activists from the St. Petersburg-based “Russian LGBT Network” permission to hold a rally in support of the victims of Soviet repressions charged on the basis of Article 121 of the old Criminal Code which prohibited consensual sexual relations between men, according to the sources of Project GayRussia.Ru at Moscow City Hall.

Dec 12:  UK:
Queen Joke Brings House Down at Gay Pride Fundraiser at Inn Where Lady Jane Grey Was Proclaimed Queen of England.  The Leader of the Gloucester City Council, Paul James, admitted tonight that he was a little sceptical about using a “queen joke” at the first Gloucestershire Gay Pride Winter Masked Ball fundraiser.  Page of pictures for event is HERE.

Dec 8:  Lithuania:
Lithuanian Seimas Must Reject Anti-Gay Law – Amnesty.   Amnesty International (AI) has called for the rejection by the Lithuanian Seimas (Parliament) of a new draft amendment of the Administrative Code that would punish the “promotion of homosexual relations with a fine of between 2,000 and 10,000 litas (580 and 2,900 euros).
